The quad-band Nokia N900 GSM/EDGE phone makes it easy to roam globally and stay in touch with voice and text messaging, and this model is also ready to run on 3G networks both in the US and internationally (900/1700/2100 MHz HSPA), enabling fast downloads and streaming multimedia while on the go. Blackberry Bold 9700 ( Onyx )

BlackBerry Onyx is the upgrade version of the Javelin (Curve 8900) with the addition of 3.5 G network connectivity (HSDPA). This device is marketed with a choice of casing that are smaller and thinner than the two previous series of the moment. Blackberry Onyx is equipped with 512 MHz processor, 256 MB ROM and 128 RAM and 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera and image stabilization.

Onyx or another name of this 9700 series, reportedly has a network supporting Quad-band GSM / GPRS / EDGE with UMTS / HSDPA. Not only that, Internet data access facilities such as Wi-Fi will also be included. Bluetooth likewise not miss immersed in it. Onyx is also said to have installed the BlackBerry mobile applications App World, including online store Amazone for fast-track MP3 download music files, and TeleNav GPS navigation.
With so many existing and upcoming BlackBerry device models that look similar (yet different), it's becoming a bit confusing to differentiate at a glance between models. We have an upcoming article with our theory behind RIM's multiple device strategy, but in the meantime the big thing to note about Onyx is that's unassuming and slick form factor packs a ton of punch:

* 3G device - GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS (Bands: 850, 900, 1800, 1900)
* 480 by 360 display, beveled edges
* 256 megabytes of internal memory (same as Curve 8900, 8520)
* 1550mAh M-S1 battery (same as Bold)
* 3.2 megapixel camera, with flash and auto focus
* Processor: Not 100% sure actually, but am hearing its a Tavor processor that may be running even a bit quicker than the Bold's 624MHz processor (definitely seems snappy)
* GPS, WiFi (UMA capable but we'll see what happens there), and all the normal stuff you'd expect on a BlackBerry smartphone

No surprise there "traces" on the Bold handset launched in Jakarta in this January. Scanning, it is similar in some corner of the Bold. Only, the body is smaller.

Note the design of the menu button on the bottom of the screen which consists of a call, the BlackBerry, trackball (not jogball which shines as the Bold), back, and endless call it. Bold shapes, such as in a smaller size.

The difference is the metal frame around the face of the Curve 8900 to make Bold face is like hidden. Body of the Javelin also less square.

Other multimedia features is a music and video. He was able to play music files in MP3 format, WMA, and AAC +. Video file that can be format show is DivX, WMV, XviD, and 3gp.

One of the "weakness" rather than Bold Curve 8900 is a network problem. Transfer data on the new Curve is only rely on EDGE or GPRS. Not like the Bold already adopted 3G.

However, its ability do not actually reach the Internet is also slow. Browser that can display the available web site pages within a few seconds. Website page will be displayed in a size small but can be enlarged simply by clicking the cursor.

In order to enjoy the push e-mail, which is the mainstay BlackBerry, users can register your e-mail with the steps that are easy. After that, e-mail will be driven directly to the handset.

QWERTY keyboard handset offers a taste of BlackBerry have in common. Although small, they are quite easy dipencet. Unfortunately, the menu button on it feels hard, let alone a BlackBerry menu button and back button. Indeed less comfortable.

Curve 8900 using cryptographic lithium battery 1400 mAHr. On the often that it can survive for two days before the re-filled. In the standby condition, it is reported to reach 356 hours or almost 15 days.

This handset can be purchased in the Indonesian market via mobile operator networks and retailnya. So far, that offer the service to the public is Indosat and XL. The price, based on the bid Indosat, is Rp 6.9 million during the campaign.
